Description

The Municipal T-shirt is our slightly boxy t-shirt with a set-in collar. Milled from North Carolina cotton, the yarn is knit into a dry, midweight six-ounce carded jersey that has a crisp hand that breaks in after many washes.

Derived from acacia trees, cutch has been used as a dyestuff in its native regions of India, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Peru for generations. Renowned for its color-fastness and subtle yet bright cast, cutch creates natural hues of cinnamon, clove, or nutmeg. Each t-shirt retains singular variations unique to the dyeing process.

Materials

Our signature, standard six-ounce carded jersey has a crisp hand that softens after many washes. The weight is ideal for layering or standalone wear.

Hand-dyed in naturally derived cutch tannin from acacia trees, this pigment-dyeding process creates organic variations in tone, hue, and depth. Each t-shirt will retain singular variations unique to the dyeing process, and may not have a uniform color throughout. Hand-wash cold and line dry for the first few washes as the dye continues to settle.

Fit & Sizing

A boxy, straight fit with slightly relaxed proportions through the shoulders, across the chest, and down the body. Neckline sits high and tight with a comfortable, snug grip. Cut with a shorter length, but not as short as the LW101 “Our T-shirt.” We recommend taking your normal size, and sizing up for a more relaxed fit with a dropped shoulder.
